Since FOC was founded, FOC is a supplier of fibre optic couplers for applications in the fields of telecommunications, sensor technology and medical technology. In 2006 we were able to obtain approval for use in outer space for the first time. In 2021 we were able to repeat this success on a larger scale. In order to meet the requirements in outer space, other materials, in particular special adhesives, are used. Additional special constructions are required in which glued connections are replaced by mechanical fixations. The picture shows the housing design of size BG05 optimized for outer space application.
